The Annual Congress 2025 of the Latvian Farmers’ Parliament (Zemnieku saeima) was held on 6 March 2025 at the cultural centre “Ulbrokas Pērle”. The event gathered farmers, agricultural organisations, policymakers, and innovation stakeholders to address key challenges and future developments in the Latvian agricultural sector.
The congress included a dedicated session on digital transformation in agriculture, with a focus on the practical application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and data-driven solutions at farm level. The discussions highlighted the role of digital technologies in improving decision-making, efficiency, and sustainability in agriculture, alongside a policy dialogue on sector modernisation.
The topics addressed were directly aligned with the objectives of the Horizon Europe AgriDataValue project, particularly in relation to data sharing, interoperability, digital skills development, and farmer-centric innovation. The event served as a dissemination and stakeholder engagement activity, contributing to increased awareness of EU-funded digital solutions and supporting the uptake of data-driven approaches promoted by AgriDataValue.
