The use cases of Cluster 3 for Trees & Vineyards are:
- UC 3.1: Fruit trees disease forecast/detection: Study diseases epidemiology, corelate with various IoT and geotagged images and adapt disease prediction models (phenological, disease meteorological).
- UC 3.2: Anti-frost control: Early prediction of frost, along with automated remote mitigation (via precision watering) may result in significant improvement in fruits (especially in vineyards) quantity and quality.
- UC 3.3: Pest Control on Mediterranean Fruit Fly: Ceratitis capitata, known as the Mediterranean fruit fly is one of the most destructive fruit pests in the world, infecting more than 200 fruits types. We plan to install IoT and automated capture traps to detect existence and built models to predict pest tracking/mitigation.
- UC 3.4: Pest Control on Olive Fruit Fly: Bactrocera oleae, known as Olive fruit fly is a phytophagous species, which is considered one of the most serious pests in the cultivation of olives. We plan to install IoT and automated capture traps to detect existence and built models to predict pest tracking/mitigation.
